College Park, MD–

Today Brenda Frese spoke to the media to talk about the upcoming University games, where her team will head to Taiwan to face Pool Play against International Opponents and it has her and the team excited about what is to come over the next few weeks.

This trip and the summer will be unlike any other we have seen, said Frese, who’s team was hand selected to take part in the games which will feature friendly match-ups against Taipei and Australia and they will open on August 21st against Uganda.

Other players on hand today included leader of this team Kristen Confroy, who was excited to get a head start on the season

“Obviously, it’s been a tough summer, a grueling summer,” Confroy said. “We’ve been working really hard, so to see, ‘OK this is what we’re working for,’ it’s bigger than us. And now getting the opportunity to wear it across our chest, it’s just phenomenal, and we can’t wait to get there.”
