Washington, D.C–

What were you doing 43 years ago? Like most of us, we can’t remember exactly what it was or if some of us were even a thought in our parents imaginations, but like those thoughts, that day may finally come true for long time fans when they can forget 43 years ago and fast forward to 2018, June 7th to be exact when the Caps take to the ice in Game 5, in what could be a momentous night of history for this franchise.

Tonight, the Caps played like they knew they were on a mission and had to win the game tonight or else. They had some of the best all around play of the entire series tonight. Some of the big notables in the game tonight came from

1. Evgeny Kuznetsov: 4 assists, 4 shot attempts and a takeaway

2. Tom Wilson: goal, 4 hits, 3 takeaways and 1 blocked shot

3. Devante Smith-Pelly: 1 goal, 3 scoring chances, 1 takeaway, 1 hit and 1 blocked shot

Smith-Pelly has become a player that the Knights didn’t really expect to be huge factor for the Caps, the exact opposite has happened for this team where Smith-Pelly has helped keep the puck in play and like his goal tonight, he was able to beat Fleury for a goal that gave the Caps all the edge they would need to take this series back to Vegas and hopefully close the game out on Thursday.
