Washington, D.C–

In his second year as Head Coach on the Hilltop, Patrick Ewing has some big expectations for this Hoyas team this season and tonight at McDonough Arena the second season got underway with a another hyped Midnight Madness that concluded a performance by platinum artist, A Boogie With Da Hoodie.

Ewing has spent a lot of time on the road the last year trying to find some pieces to the puzzle that included replacing big pieces of the team that include the loss of Marcus Derrickson, but do include the return of Jesse Govan and the additions of James Akinjo and MacMcClung, two freshman that have lots of schools paying attention in the Big East.

So what’s the key for Ewing and his troops? This is as team who went 10-1 in the non- c0nference games last year, but when it came to Big East play they managed just 5, but to their favor they lost three conference games in overtime and another three games by five points or less.

While it is hard to see what the team has in just 2 hours of mixed entertainment, you could see that Ewing has a much different team this season and has guys who are healthy and ready to play that includes Trey Mourning and Antoine Walker healthy. This should round out a squad that hopefully will pick up more than 5 victories this season.

Here is the predicted starting line-up for the Hoyas.

Jagan Mosely

Jahvon Blair

Kaleb Johnson

Jamorko Pickett

Jessie Govan
