Atlanta, GA–

For the Seventh Year, Delta Air Lines held its Annual Hangar Beer Tasting event at the Delta Museum.  The Museum is a non-profit organization, and their mission is to celebrate the heritage of Delta and its more than 40 family airlines, the history of aviation and the future of flight.  As always, this event helps to bring revenue in for the Museum.

Tickets to the event were sold in advance and also at the door, albeit higher if you purchased at the door.  This year was different as the Museum only sold First Class Tickets that included premium food, premium liquor offerings, and gift bag with a complimentary t-shirt. This is in addition to a souvenir pint glass and access to all breweries, and entertainment.  The limited ticket offering was to help limit the amount of people and allow for distancing during the event.

The 2022 event featured forty breweries, cuisine from Bold American Events and Proof of the Pudding Catering.  In Hangar One, DJ OneNate was mixing tunes and in Hangar Two, Tyler Neal Band performed.  To add to the event, many of the museum exhibits were open, including the Delta Museum Store.  One of it’s most attractive exhibits for the evening was walking through “The Spirit of Delta”, which was the 1st Delta Boeing 767, Ship 102, which was purchased by Delta employees, retirees and friends in 1982.

Overall,  this an event anyone in the Atlanta area should check out and we look forward to the 8th Annual Hops in the Hangar event in 2023. This is definitely recommend as a bucket list item for zythophiles and aviation enthusiasts alike.
