Canton, OH–
Today kicks of the start of the NFL preseason and the weekend that Ohio football fans wait all year long for in what Canton calls their Super Bowl of the city.
Even with the Ravens being the favorite tonight and possibly having one of the best linebackers in their corner in Ray Lewis, it will be a chance for fans to see what both of these teams are made up of quite a few new looks including the Ravens getting the first start for the RGIII era in Baltimore.
This will also mark debut of rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson for the Ravens. He is a heavy favorite to get a good shot at the second half of the game to show his magic. He most likely will lead the Ravens to a victory tonight. We are thinking about a 31-28 score for the game with the Ravens emerging victorious.
The Bears, meanwhile, have some lofty expectations for this season with an offense that features the addition of Allen Robinson and a new coach in Matt Nagy. Although this game will only be an inkling, if quarterback Mitchell Trubisky plays well in his limited action, it could be a sign of things to come for Chicago.
For fans, there has been plenty of action in and around the stadium with autograph signings and an appearance by the original Madden Cruiser from 1987. Restored to its original livery, it delivered the Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy today to the HOF where it will reside before making its trip to Atlanta in January.
Fans will have plenty to see over the next few days with a fashion show tomorrow and of course the main event, the HOF enshrinement on Saturday night followed by a performance by Maroon 5 to conclude the weekend of events.
