Washington, D.C–

Just a few weeks ago after Ed Cooley tossed a water bottle into the stands at the end of the game, long time Hoyas fans were calling for his exit as it looked as this program was once again heading in the wrong direction… well that was up until 4 games ago including tonight. The Hoyas continue roll and now fans are buying in on what they might do going into the Big East Tournament.

The Hoyas were led by KJ Lewis with 22 points and Malik Mack had 20 as the Hoyas (13-10, 5-7) have won four consecutive Big East regular season games for the first time since 2015.

Creighton had the momentum going into the locker room with buzzer beater taking a 29-27 lead, but that was about as far as it would the remainder of the game.

Georgetown looked like a completely different team to start the second half. Right from the jump Lewis got started and the Hoyas started to pull away when Vince Iwuchukwu hit a jumper giving the Hoyas a 45-34 lead.

Iwuchukwu is finally getting back in the groove after sitting due to his health condition. He finished with 14 points in 10 rebounds in 30 minutes.

One of the huge differences in the game was the Hoyas went to the line 33 times tonight whereas the Blue Jays only went to the line 10 times the entire game. This was huge difference in the second half outcome.

The Bluejays (12-11, 6-6) were led in scoring by Jasen Green, who finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Nik Graves and Fedor Zugic each had 11 points.
