There have been some historic battles between these two teams over the years, but today was nothing short of another classic battle that had the Hoyas looking at a sure bet at staying undefeated, but Syracuse had other ideas for them.
Most of the Georgetown fans were in the celebration more as the Hoyas built a 13 point lead, 53-40 with just over 10 minutes remaining. This is when the Cuse started their rise started another classic comeback in the battle between these two teams.
”The 3-point line, usually it works the other way against us but today the 3-point line worked for us which is highly unusual,” Syracuse Head CoachBoeheim said.
Jessie Govan had 21 points and eight rebounds and Marcus Derrickson had 14 points and eight rebounds for Georgetown (8-1), which entered Saturday as one of six undefeated teams in Division I. Jagan Mosely had 20 points off the bench for the Hoyas.
