Newtown Square, PA–

In another day where the tee-times had to be moved up, the BMW Championship saw players eager to get on the course and get their rounds in before more weather moved into the area and Justin Rose was able to do just that.

Rose leads the tournament a 17 under 54, but that could be in danger with the forecast for Sunday.

Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele are T-2 at 16 under. Rickie Fowler and Tommy Fleetwood are 15 under.

Tiger Woods sits at 12 under.

“I just came out and played a really great round today said,” Rose. “These fairways and greens were much different from Friday. Most of us were physically exhausted from Thursdays round and to have to come back two days in a row early is tough, but it is going to make it interesting here tomorrow.”

So what is there to look for on Sunday? Pay attention to these players, Fleetwood -15, Justin Thomas -15, Rickie Fowler -15, Hideki Matsuyama and of course Tiger Woods at -12, who is not out of the hunt as we all know what he is capable of on a Sunday.

The biggest obstacle for any of these players tomorrow, rain! With the forecast calling for 1-3 inches of rain in the area overnight and into the middle of the day maybe even the entire day, it leaves us wondering if they may have to finish this tournament on Monday, something that all of the golfers hope is not the case.

For McIlroy, playing tomorrow is ideal, but he understands the uncontrollable. “It will be tough to play on a course that is this saturated and for us to have a full day off and then have to finish the following day, those are not ideal, but we will do what we have to at this point,” said McIlroy.
