Washington, D.C–
There is always a tail of two Wizards teams, this one tonight involved the other. While the Kings have been on the up the past few seasons, this was definitely a winnable game for the Wizards, however they could not close out at the end as they have in two other games this season ad the Kings escaped with a 113-106 victory.
Bradley Beal once again led the Wizards with quiet 20 points. It was almost as if the Kings wanted to slow the pace of the game tonight and Beal was a victim of the slow pace of play.
Thomas Bryant brought some energy to the court late in the game and finished with 14 points rebounds.
Harrison Barnes was the king of the evening for Sacramento. He played in your face basketball and the Wizards made him look like a All Star with plenty of looks from the perimeter.. Richaun Holmes had a big night with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Buddy Hield who has had some great nights for the Kings just can not find his stroke to start the season and he was just 4 of 14 from the field—but Hield finished with 18 points and 5 assists (with just 2 turnovers) thanks to his 7-7 mark from the free throw line.
Next up for the Wizards is a long road trip starting in Denver on Tuesday night and two big back to back games next weekend in LA against the Clippers and Lakers after a stop in Phoenix against the Suns.
