Metro Cooking D.C Showcases New Products, Celebrities and Great Local Dishes

Every year around the holiday season, there are quite a few things to look forward to.. family gatherings.. new recipes… dinner out.. whatever it might be, one of those that each year should be on the list is the Metro Cooking DC.

This is one great place to see some amazing new products as well as taste some amazing new menu items from local restaurants and sip on some cocktails in their beer nd wine garden or even sample some award winning barbeque.

This year one of the highlights came on Saturday with a chance to vote on some award winning local barbeque that featured places like Lefty’s in Waldorf, Myron Mixon’s in Alexandria and Roots 657 market in Leesburg.

While we are very slighted to brisket and things outside of Texas, Mixon has some won awards at Memphis in May and his BBQ may be some of the best in the area.

Most people come for the celebrity demonstrations which had two of the biggest names in the history of this show in Martha Stewart and Wolfgang Puck.
