Washington, D.C–
The night started with Mystics star Elena Delle Donne receiving her MVP trophy at center court, it finished with her walking off the court in another dominating performance during a 103-91 victory over the Aces.
Emma Meesseman continued to be a huge difference for the Mystics tonight scoring 30 points and going 5 for 5 from long range. The Aces had no answer for how to stop her again tonight.
“Emma has done so much the last few games for us and she has become very difficult to guard anywhere on the court,” said Mystics Head Coach Mike Thibault.
Natasha Cloud also made huge contribution going 7 for 13 from the field, but dishing out 11 assists on the night and scoring four huge points in the final two minutes of the game tonight.
With Delle Donne getting quite a few boards late in the game, she finished with a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
For the Aces, they were able to make things close in the first half and they used a heavy presence of Erica Cambage in the paint again tonight. She finished the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Game 3 is on Sunday back in Las Vegas and with one win by the Mystics, it will put them into the WNBA Finals with a possible match-up against the Connecticut Sun, who lead their series with the Sparks, 2-0 as well.
