Las Vegas, NV–
Prior to tonight, the Mystics had been exposed to the trash talking by Liz Cambage and ” get in the weight room” comments, but by the end of Game 4, it was Cambage that left the court in tears, her season over.
What was the difference in Game 4 for the Mystics? Emma Meesseman. She again rained the ball from long range and finished the game with 22 points off the bench.
For the Aces, their inability to get Kelsey Plum going for most of the game was the difference at the end. She wasn’t able to get free for open shots like she did in Game 3 and Kristi Toliver gave her a lot of trouble of the ball as well.
The Aces didn’t get much help from their hometown star Kayla McBride either, as she hit on just 2 for 10 from the field tonight and 1 for 5 from long range.
After the game Elena Delle Donne had big praises for Meesseman and what she was able to do tonight.
“Emma played hard after a tough Game 3, she just hit everything we gave her. She is on fire right now and we look for more against a very tough Connecticut team on Sunday.
One thing that is for sure, the Mystics will be seeing a much better Sun team that they defeated by 42 points in one game this season.
