Washington, D.C–

Max Scherzer is the Anchor of this Team and Then Some!!

For anyone who has covered this team in previous years or just has been to a ton of games or even a die hard fan dating back to the Senators years, this is what baseball is all about… dreams… reality and moving on. Some make it, others don’t. This time making it is all about the Washington Nationals.

Since 2005, there has been a ton of buzz in this city… former team comes back to town after so many failed attempts.. 2012 team makes playoffs, gets knocked out of playoffs… same old story right? Well for the time it was.. This was the same team that when they were 19-31, screamed for a change. Now a team of guys, some old ( Francisco Rodney). some young ( Juan Soto) and a cast of others that people know.. Sherzer, Strasburg, Gomes, Doolittle are ready for the big stage. The next question is, who will they face? Do they want the Yankees or the Astros?

Regardless of the match-up this is a team a lot like the Rays who won the World Series with a mix of players from all different calibers of player. While a lot of teams have superstars on their team, the Nats have quite a few all around players, one that should be a MVP, Rendon and a pitching squad that Mike Rizzo built to go the distance.

For now, the Nats can sit back and relax for a few days and await the next round of what could be a historic season for baseball fans in D.C. Perhaps a lot like the Capitals did two seasons ago, we won’t have to say maybe next time anymore. This is clearly our time.
