Following up on some great footwear this fall, Nike Golf is back with three great shoes for Spring 2013.
Two of the models are advanced colors of their fall collection and the Swingtip Canvas is built on the same construction as their leather models this Fall. One thing we liked about the canvas versions is their color ways. With four colors to choose from, there is sure to be one to go with every outfit on the course.
On a recent outing to Houston, Texas we took all three of the shoes on the course to avoid some of the harsh conditions of the Northeast and we were amazed at the performance of the shoes.
The Swingtip Canvas is one of Nike’s lightest golf shoes to date. It follows on the heels of the Fall release of the Suede and Leather versions of the shoe. One thing we were worried about in the canvas versions was that if you wore them in the early morning on the East coast in the Spring you might have wet feet. Well that was not the case as we tested on a warm day outside of D.C and in Houston on a cool wet morning during NBA All Star week and they seemed to repel the water. They stayed dry for 11 holes and then the course
Key features of the canvas shoes include the seasonably relevant upper materials, full length Lunarlon drop-in sockliner and the weight activated traction lugs. The combination of looks and comfort make this an easy choice off the course. We recommend all four colors to mix up with any Nike Golf outfits. We do applaud those wearing the Pine Green versions. Traction when you need it, weight-activated traction logs help secure grip through your golf swing. The Dual-density foam midsole delivers dynamic support, optimal ground feel and more power through impact. Lastly, they come with a 35-day comfort warranty. Not sure why not 30 days, but in case you have a bad month with these, they will make sure to get you a new pair. Not going to happen though. These are a great shoe for $130
Nike’s new Men’s Air Range WP is a weekend golfers dream. You will fall in love with this purchase the shoes are constructed of mesh and synthetic leather, and they feel lighter than almost any other golf shoe we have tested. These are taken off the running shoe platform and felt like a pair of running shoes as we I took a few laps around the clubhouse to test the fit. We I noticed that the shoe gripped the heel well despite its low cut – no more blisters on my heels from high-cut shoes that rub my ankles. Although the Air Range WP model comes in a selection of colors, I chose the Anthracite/Metallic Silver. We would purchase a pair on the spot. If these are strictly a range shoe, then you will see a shoe that lock you tight into the mat and keeps the balance in place for the proper follow through.
The Air Range WP shoes kept our feet steady during my swing, and provided support without constricting my movement. At the end of the round, we were surprised at how fresh I felt. In the past, other more expensive dress style gold shoes would leave us tired and achy after 18 holes.
Lastly, we can’t forget the hot styles for women in the Lunar Duet Sport. These are the gem of Nike Golf this Spring.
For undeniable comfort and style on and off the golf course, these Nike Lunar Duet golf shoes are a must-have.
Nike Lunar Duet Sport Women’s Spikeless Golf Shoes feature breathable canvas uppers that give these spikeless golf shoes a sporty and casual look that is designed for on- and off-course wear. Again these shoes appear as ones that would get wet and not be good for the course in early morning Spring or Fall play. We tried in both cities and again, like the men’s version, these shoes got the job done keeping the tootsies dry.
Whether you’re on the golf course or just out on the town, these ladies Nike golf shoes will keep your feet feeling great all day. You’ll never have to change your shoes to go to and from the golf course; Nike Lunar Duet golf shoes let you do it all.
These golf shoes come with two sets of laces.
