No Size No Match For UMBC as Hoyas Advance to Second Round of NCAA Tournament With a Convincing 66-47 Victory

Raleigh, NC–

In the NCAA Tournament there is the possibility that anything could happen… well for UMBC today was not one of those days where anything could happen against the Hoyas. In fact the only thing that was happening was total domination inside behind Roy Hibbert as he helped the Hoyas move on to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament with a convincing 66-47 victory over the Retrievers.

Georgetown was led by Senior Roy Hibbert with 13 points and 7 rebounds. The steady leader over the past couple of weeks, Jonathan Wallace added 13 points and Austin Freeman finished with 11 for the Hoyas (28-5).

“Coach wants me to go out and play aggressive, so I did my part — try to get rebounds, and try to dominate as much as I can when I get the ball,” Hibbert said. “Make good passes, and make good decisions, and I think I did that.”
