Saturday Night is Alright for Fightin’ Jimmy Lange Take the Ring Against Jonathan Reid

FAIRFAX, VA–

For those who had ever checked out Jimmy Lange in the ring, you know his punch is nothing less than explosive and his success at the Patriot Center is nothing less than stellar as well.

Lange(30-3-2, 21 knockouts) will return to the ring on this Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Patriot Center in Fairfax City to defend his World Boxing Council (WBC) U.S. National Boxing Championship. Lange, in a 154-pound title fight, will go up against his former teammate from The Contender, Jonathan Reid (34-11, 19 KOs), in a 12-round main event. Lange, of Great Falls, is currently ranked No. 11 by the NABF and No. 34 in the world by the WBC at 154 pounds.

For those who like a little female boxing action, fans will have the chance to check out another local product in Jennifer Salinas. The 5’3 124 fighter returns to the ring after the birth of her child eight months ago. She also has three other kids stepdaughter Leticia, 10, Jaida, 5. Salinas originally stepped in the ring at 19 and has overcome many obstacles in her entire career.

Another fight that has always had a draw in the Washington   D.C area is when Chop Chop steps in the ring. He had an impressive showing from 2001-2004 but faded off the map for a number of years and after a five year hiatus he is stepping back into the ring versus Harrison Cuello. Cuello who hails out of the Bronx was victorious in his last two fights against Ray Robinson on July 16th in New York and against Rashad Holloway in Las Vegas on June 12th. This will be a tough match up for Chop Chop, but if he is anything like the old Chop   Chop of 2001-02 then it will be a great fight that probably will go the distance.
