Washington, D.C–

As the 2025-26 season winds down for the Wizards, why not just toss another season record in there right.. well, except its one that you would actually want to forget against the Sixers tonight.

Washington allowed 153 points tonight, which sets the season record for the most points in a game this season. This game became the tail of two teams going in different directions, the Sixers had their way offensively in the second half, after the Wizards trailed by just 2 points at halftime.

By the time the final buzzer sounded tonight, fans could be heard saying, we better get that top pick, all of which it appears they have been playing for the past few weeks with some of these games featuring little or no defense when it actually mattered late in the game.

The night was really all about Paul George, who frankly may have played his best game in over 2 years tonight. George finished with 39 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 3 pointers combining that with a blistering 68% field goal percentage and 3 steals all while committing zero turnovers. This was his highest scoring game total since becoming a Sixer.

The Wizards seem to have some good scoring from their bench players. Tonight it was one of the most unlikely of Wizards players, Anthony Gill with, a career high 21 points. He went 8 for 9 from the field and 3 for 3 from long range.

The 76ers swept the four-game season series and are 11-1 in their last 12 against Washington.
