NIKE FIT IS IN FOR FALL 2007 |
Once again, our staff at Pointed Magazine is dedicated to bringing its readers the hottest products for 2007. The staff at Pointed Magazine has reviewed all types of products in the past but here’s one that is sure to leave you looking sharp on the course without emptying your wallet at the same time. For some, the days of running around with no school in site or the idea of summer vacations and those paid days off work are over until next summer, but wait, no fear Nike Golf has you ready for the Fall like never before, with some of the hottest colors to hit the course in a number of years and the coolest outerwear that is sure to keep you warm and fuzzy on the course. |
When Nike added the Nike Fit line-up to their golf line, golfers worldwide were cheering the best technology that met fashion on the course, and on the men’s side it the Sienna Nike Sphere Micro React Polo with white trim that just looks hot. Once you try this shirt on, you will see why the laser cut vents help regulate your temperature as the vents open when you perspire and close when dry to keep you cool and in tune on the course. This would rock the course even if it wasn’t for the cool flipside. For $70, hopefully your score will be as low as the price, because this is a shirt that might even make the difference on the scorecard. |
Okay, we all love the hot and humid days of summer right? Well for those of us who don’t (lots of us) Nike’s next product for men will have you wanting to throw on a pair of pants for sure. The Performance Tech Pants not only will have all of the women looking twice on the course, but will have you grabbing both colors. |
The Performance Pant is a great fall pant when the temperatures are between blazing hot and moderately cold. Chose from either black or olive and all of the Nike Fit shirts will be a great fashion mix. These are also the pants you can kick it around the house while watching NFL Football on Sunday with their vented cuffs and flat fronts, they are blazing hot with style and probably the best golf pant they have ever manufactured. These carry an excellent price point of $75. Hard to match the style and quality, these part are part Nieman Marcus (style and quality) and Macy’s( price) all wrapped up into one helluva cool pant.If you plan on hitting the course and the elements just do not want to cooperate, then you will need to make a stylish impression on the greens with the Nike Golf Storm Fit Elite Jacket. While they have done a great job in keeping you dry in the past, none of their previous jackets have come close to this one. It will turn heads fore sure. Using the no-sew technology, there is not much that will get into this jacket. We put it to the test in a recent rain soaked trip to Jacksonville, and while the course didn’t weather as well as the jacket, we stayed dry for the entire day. The rain ran off the shaped collar, kepping the water from running down to our fit shirt under the jacket. This is a must have for any fair weather player. While the $220 price tag might be a little hefty for some, it is the Aston Martin of rain gear for the course. The feel of the jacket’s Storm Fit Laminate might just scare the rain out of the area when it hits. Sleek and a great piece for staying warm too.
While we really love the Fall styles for men, the women’s side of Nike Golf continues to use the input of players such as Michelle Wie and Grace Park to deliver some of the same for the fashion and performance females on the course. Nike Golf has returned with their tech woven long short and their polyester and spandex combination keeps the shorts looking right in just the right places. No more ruffled pleats and shorts that look like you slept in them the night before. Both the Birch and Olive colors held as good as new after 50 machine washings and the UV protection up to 30 upf is an added bonus for all hitting the course. Once you have tried the shorts, we recommend taking one of the Nike Sphere Macro React Polos and matching it to the shorts. The zip neck gives you the perfect avenue for sexy or classy depending on your mood and the openings on the back of the shirt keep you comfortable the same way the men’s version does. As it cools off just a bit, Nike has the same technology in a long sleeve version. Their new Rio color with the design is going to be a big hit that will leave you stepping right off the runway on to the course with ease. The shorts and long sleeve shirt could even double as great outfit for Casual Friday’s around the office. What we have found through our testing this fall is that Nike offers some great color combinations between the tops and bottoms. Their outerwear just continues to sizzle season after season, with 2007 possibly being the best so far. The color combinations throughout their shirts and pants are also some of the best they have offered. Be on the lookout in a month or so as Nike Golf delivers some of the best colors for the holiday season in limes and bright cactus for both men and women. |
