Pasadena, CA–

Each week for the Terps, there is hopes that you can forget about what happened late in the game.. or maybe even forget the entire fourth quarter of the game.

So, do we dare say that the Terps lost another late minute game in the fourth quarter to a UCLA team that just three weeks ago was the laughingstock of the BIG Ten.. well not anymore as they pulled out all the stops in the final minutes to send the Terps back to College Park on a walk off game winning field goal, 20-17.

UCLA Quarterback Nico Iamaleava overcame three turnovers and an apparent knee injury to lead a winning drive after Maryland tied the score with 40 seconds left. This would set up Mateen Bhaghani’s 23-yard field goal in the final seconds, securing the Bruins’ third consecutive victory.

Maryland drove 75 yards in just 84 seconds for the tying score, quarterback Malik Washington connecting with Jalil Farooq on an eight-yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds left.

With all the defense that was being shown in the game today, it appeared that the Terps would at least be happy sending the game to overtime… Nope, instead they gave UCLA the momentum back as they did most of the fourth quarter to set up the winning kick.

After the game Terps Head Coach spoke about another late game loss. ” I am disappointed, but not discouraged,” said Locksley. This was another defensive battle and unfortunately, we put them in a position for another possession, and it did not go our way this week as a result.”\

Next up for the Terps is a week off before they face Indiana on November 1st back in College Park.
