Washington, D.C–
There is no doubt the Mystics team without Elena Delle Donne is just not as fun to watch. When she is in the line-up this team does big things and those include scoring. Today was no different in the second match-up against Atlanta in the past two days. The Mystics took care of business behind the masked warrior in a 95- 63 victory over the woeful Atlanta Dream.
Delle Donne had her way with the Dream and picked apart the defense that looked like a piece of Swiss Cheese. Her other numbers were a nice 10-of-13 from the floor for 28 points. She also lead the team with 8 rebounds.
“I am just trying to get in and help in any way I can, said Delle Donne. The first game the mask was a little bit uncomfortable. Today it was a much better and I felt getting my groove on was much easier than Friday night.
The Dream were missing All Stars Tiffany Hayes and Angel McCoughtry, and as a result had no real response to Washington’s scoring sprees. The Mystics controlled the game from start to finish, uwinning 93-65. Washington was led by Elena Delle Donne with 28 points. The Dream were led by Elizabeth Williams with 14.
