Washington, D.C–

Tiger is definitely the face of golf. Watching those fans flock to the ropes was nothing short of a NCAA team winning a championship for the first time ever, they barely could hold them back to get a shot a Tiger winning it all on 18.
So with his two-shot victory in the season finale does this mean that the old Tiger is really back? Seems so, but most importantly the young guns at the top of the FedEx Cup standings that came up to Woods today at the end of the match seem to know what’s up too. The PGA Tour has not seen galleries like this in a number of years, but 2019 just started to look real nice on the calendar for most wanting to watch what he is going to bring to the greens.
The 14-time champ also continued his remarkable climb up that world ranking chart to No. 13. His 1,199 after he came back to tour seems like a distant memory that many will soon forget.
“Eighty is a big number,” Woods said. “I’ve been sitting on 79 for about five years now, and to get 80 is a pretty damned good feeling.”
