Potomac, MD–
Second round play began early Friday morning at the Quicken Loans National and for once we can say that Tiger Woods is making a charge for the weekend and others like Rickie Fowler are expected to make the cut for a tournament that has bunch of players at the top that certainly would not be worthy making the trip to Potomac for the weekend.
At top of the leaderboard J. J Spaun continues to play a solid round at -8 and seems to be a running favorite to finish on top before the afternoon group tees off shortly after 12:00pm
Could this be the tournament that Tiger Woods can finally crack a solid Top 10 finish if not even better? If he is able to keep his game together on the front 9 holes he should post a decent score to keep him in contention for the weekend.
So what is missing from this tournament? Players that provide solid competition at the top where scores like 2 and 3 under par are not even close to the top ten.
Currently the cut projection is between 86 and 87 and +1 which leaves many good players in contention for the weekend.
