Las Vegas, NV—
When we envisioned how cool the new Top Golf Las Vegas was going to be, we didn’t realize it would be all around jaw dropping from corner to corner. If you are looking for a new way to have an entire day of fun in Vegas, well we just found it.
Ever since we attended the grand opening of their first location in the states in Alexandria, VA, we have watched the brand emerge from a driving range with a cool target based game to a destination that you will want to spend hours with a big group of friends or the entire family.
With the brand emerging as an entertainment mecca for golfers, this gem is one place that can’t be missed. While our team is filled with golfers, who can’t admire cold drinks, amazing food and yea, pools on two levels of this location.
Guests will find interactive golf games in the hitting bays similar to the other locations like Dallas and Scottsdale, where each bay can host up to six players at one time, featuring lounge-style seating and HDTVs. Golf games can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels, tracking the accuracy and distance of players’ shots through Top Golf’s microchipped ball. Bring your own clubs or use their Callaway branded clubs and enjoy working on your game and maybe getting a little tipsy at the same time. We can see this becoming Club Top Golf on Friday and Saturday night with their ripe 4am closing time. That’s right, you can now stop dreaming about going to hit balls at 2am and just go do it. Rates for bays will range from $45 per hour in off peak times to $90 per hour in peak times. So big groups are recommended.
You will find other games on-site such as beer pong, cornhole and even a full sports book run by MGM. Their monster TV screens will have all of the big games on so no action of any type will be missed when you are finding your inner Jordan Spieth.
The pools not only come with the ability to rent cabanas adjacent to them, there are lounge chairs that sit in the pool on the 3rd floor and can be rented for individuals all the way to big groups by contacting their sales staff. Just like the pools around the city, food and beverage minimums will be required and are separate from the golf bay rental of the venue.
While we have always liked their food offering, the new location has some amazing choices from their menu that includes some amazing full sized Backyard Chicken Wings, Sea Bass Sliders, Crispy rock shrimp, Kalbi Short Rib tacos, flatbreads just to name a few.
With bars on all levels, you can find one of their signature cocktails such as the Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita along with all of the staples of crafts beers on tap, more than some local bars.
There isn’t much we could say Top Golf needs to work on to make it a better experience, other than their valet parking. We did have to wait over 25 minutes to get out of car while sitting on Koval Lane. On their busiest days, you may want to consider taking Uber or a cab to Top Golf. Once their valet lot is full, there is no other parking on site and you will have to park at the MGM and take their shuttle bus back to the location.
Top Golf Las Vegas, located at 4627 Koval Lane behind the MGM Grand, boasts 108 climate-controlled hitting bays, two pools, cabanas, a concert venue, VIP suites, five bars, special-event spaces, a comfort food-inspired menu with creative beverage offerings, a Callaway Fitting Studio and a Top Golf retail shop. It spans four levels and 105,000 square feet.
