Washington, D.C–

For the past few weeks with the absence of John Wall, the Wizards have been just searching for the right combination of what will win games. Most of that combination has involved Bradley Beal and a mixture of average scoring by the remainder of the team. Well tonight, its about to get better as Wall returned to the line-up to lead the Wizards to a 93-87 victory over the Grizzlies.

“If I’m going to be out here thinking about it, then I don’t need to be out there playing,” said Wall after the game. ” I am limiting myself to what I can do and thinking about that too much is hurting my teammates.”

Memphis took their first and only lead of the game of 67-65 with 8:53 to go. The Wizards responded with a 13-0 run, with Beal scoring 11 of his 18 points in the final quarter. Kelly Oubre Jr. made big plays down the stretch, including the dagger 3-pointer with 1:10 left in the game.

For the Grizzlies their game has been all over the place the past few weeks capped by a funny post game interview with Mark Gasol where he was just happy in a set of F words to win the game. This has been their season and the missing ingredients of their team is evident.

Memphis was led by guard Andrew Harrison, with 20 points and 7 assists and Gasol and JaMychal Green contributed 15 points each.

The Wizards return to the court on Friday night to face the Clippers before taking on a big test on Sunday evening against the Cavaliers.
