Washington, D.C–

With one team setting their aspirations on the playoffs and the other just trying to finish the season strong, it was clear which team was doing what tonight at Capital One Arena.

Washington, who started the day by introducing fans to the new City Edition Jerseys for next season in Cherry Blossom fashion, didn’t end the game with a cherry on top of anything and without part time model, Kyle Kuzma, it’s clear the Wizards may have to set their goals on next season.

The Bulls were led by a strong effort of DeMar DeRozan with 32 points, 14 of which he dropped in the fourth quarter

Nikola Vucevic scored 27 points for Chicago, which is trying to stay in the top six in the Eastern Conference and avoid the play-in round of the postseason. The Bulls (44-32) took a half-game lead over Toronto (43-32) for fifth place in the East, and they lead seventh-place Cleveland (42-33) by 1 1/2 games.

Washington will have to play back-to-back games, facing the woeful Orlando Magic tomorrow night. If the Wizards are unable to come up with victory tomorrow night, it could possibly be the lowest point of the season, when it appeared they could possibly sneak into the playoffs without two of their star players.
