Las Vegas, NV–
The Wizards came to town with the hopes that they would go a little deeper into the Summer League competition but the Clippers had something else on their agenda apparently as they sent hometown favorite Troy Brown Jr. and the Wizards back to D.C with hope that their new additions will make the team in a better position to win games this season.
Clippers rookies Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson also played a big role in the victory. Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 17 points, four rebounds and six assists while Robinson finished with 15 points, two rebounds and three assists.
Devin Robinson had 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Wizards.
“This is not the way we really wanted to leave Las Vegas, said Wizards forward Troy Brown Jr.” We had hoped to stay a little longer, but it was great to be on the court and see what the NBA is going to be like for me this season. There are a lot of good players here and today the Clippers were just the better team.
The Wizards played from behind and didn’t even really make a game of it until the final five minutes of play.
