Washington, D.C–
Sometimes it takes people talking smack about one of their players to rally the troops, well tonight the Wizards showed that it didn’t matter who was on the court, that the Celtics were going to give a solid battle and then finally take the Wizards into OT, where they would capture a 110-108 victory.
The Celtics got all they needed from Jalen Brown in the OT period, who scored five of his 18 points and his sidekick Kyrie Irving hit for 28 points to lead the way or the Celtics.
The biggest stat of the night for the Wizards was that they committed 22 turnovers and shot just 2 for 12 in the overtime period, dropping their second straight game after winning five straight.
“These guys played as hard as they possibly could have tonight, we have just hit a rough patch the last couple of games. Hopefully the All Star Break coming up will help all these guys get some rest and come back and finish strong in the second half, said Wizards Head Coach Scott Brooks.
The look tonight for the Wizards was their second after winning five in a row without Wall, the overtime period tonight clearly proves that Wall in the line-up is a necessity and perhaps the difference in this game tonight.
