Thomas Bryant is Making an Impact During the Preseason, Including Tonight Against the Bucks

While many fans in attendance came tonight to see the “Greek Freak” perform a little of his magic around the rim, most had to settle for his brother and a Wizards loss, 115-108.

For Scott Brooks, tonight was another chance to take a look at few of the players on the brink or going to G League or making this team. This was also another chance for Rui Hachimura to get some more time on the court against a Bucks team with quite a few NBA veterans on the court.

Hachimura, who was in early foul trouble in the first half seemed to get his head back in the game in the second half and make some contributions both offensively and defensively. He would finish the game with 10 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes of action.

Bradley Beal would also get some solid work tonight scoring 20 points in 23 minutes. He will be relied on heavily starting the season in Dallas.

One player that continues to impress in the pre-season is Thomas Bryant. He finished the game with 17 points, but of note was his 4 for 8 from long distance.

Wizards Scott Brooks was asked about the emergence of Bryant at the forward role after the game.

” TB, is doing everything we ask of him and he continues to get better game by game and is putting in a lot of hard work during practice to perfect his shot. He will be a big help in the paint this season,” said Brooks.

The Wizards have an entire week to take a look at few more pieces of the puzzle before heading to Philly to face the 76ers in their last preseason game.
