Las Vegas, NV–

While the Wizards don’t have any superstar first round pics on their roster, they certainly didn’t expect to not really show up for Summer League play. While their record at 0-3 is an indicator on where the team is going for the remainder of the bench, other teams have some good talent on their roster that seems to be running the Wizards off the court.

Lauri Markkanen,  the Bulls first round pick scored 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds and Antonio Blakeney scored 23 points as Chicago was able to hold off a late run from the Wizards to secure the victory.

After going 4-35 in Summer League action on Monday, the Bulls started 4-5 from range en route to a quick 20-7 lead. The Wizards shot just 29 percent in the first quarter and were only able to muster 15 points as they trailed, 33-15 after one.

The play from Sheldon Mac could be a huge part of the Wizards bench come training camp time. He has been the only strong point for the Wizards during Summer League Play. He led the way with 20 points, but had little help from the remainder of the squad in this game or even in the past two games.

Next up for the Wizards, an opponent to be named on Wednesday night.
