Washington, D.C–
Night after night, we want to believe that this 2025-26 Wizards team is going to turn this group of young players into something that can compete for more than two quarters in a game. Unfortunately, after another 20 points plus loss tonight the Orlando Magic, the hope seems to be fading quickly.
One thing the Wizards have not had a problem with in the first few games is scoring.. but at the same time getting outscored heavily late in the game. Tonight, the Wizards shot 39.8% (39 of 98) from the floor in their lowest-scoring game of the new season.
Keyshawn George scored 17 points and CJ McCollum added 13 as the Wizards lost their fourth straight overall and third straight at home. Washington has dropped 11 consecutive games against the Magic.
Paolo Banchero had 28 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic.
