London, United Kingdom–

The Knicks Final Shot Fell Just short with 0.4 Seconds Remaining

At the conclusion of tonight’s game, Wizards Head Coach Scott Brooks was asked if he had ever seen an ending like the one tonight, his answer was no and most like neither had any of the fans in attendance at O2 Arena tonight as they Wizards leave London with a 101-100 victory on a goaltending basket by Thomas Bryant.

Again the Wizards found themselves for almost dead into the third quarter and then it was some magic again by Bradley Beal that seemed to turn the momentum for this team.

Beal finished with 26 points to lead a 101-100 win, but it took a final second goal-tending call against Allonzo Trier to hand the Wizards victory.

The Wizards were within 12 at the start of the final quarter, and suddenly, Beal came alive, nailing two huge threes to move back within a point at 91-90.

The Knicks were hoping that that last 0.4 seconds may help them get a good look at the basket, but it fell just short, just as they have in many games this season.

“We are finding ways to get better,” said Luke Kornet after the game. I think we are tired of losing games and there are things we can all do to contribute, tonight just wasn’t one of those games.
