Washington, D.C–

When you watch some NBA games you can see what teams are fundamentally going in different directions, tonight was just one of those as the OKC Thunder took off to another planet with a 136-95 rout of the Wizards.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the game in scoring with 27 points, making him one of six players to score in double figures for the Thunder.

This game was not only lopsided for the Wizards, but it was a nightmare offensively for Head Coach Brian Keefe.

Keefe, who has had some great nights without Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole on the court, couldn’t find any way to make something happen with both tonight as both of them combined for just 19 points.

Washington’s last lead was 22-21 in the first quarter. There was no offensive chemistry and the only bright light in the final box score was Corey Kispert. OKC’s starters were out of the game by the fourth quarter, as they had built a 41-point lead.

The Thunder scored at least 30 points in all four quarters, scoring as much as 37 points in both the first and third.

As a team, the Wizards shot 33.7 percent and made just 9 of 46 attempts from long range.

“We have to regroup before tomorrow night, said Wizards Head Coach Brian Keefe. “Tonight was a tough one for all of us, but we have to realize why they are one of the best teams in the NBA right now.”
