Washington, D.C–

After each game we often look for some of the good things from the Wizards team, tonight that could only be the second half of the game where they just could not find much of anything to get the scoring going in the first half.

It’s hard to say that the Miami Heat are doing much better trying to win games at the end of the season, but don’t look now, they have won 5 games in a row and become only the third NBA team to win 5 after losing 10 in a row.

In the second half it was mostly the Bam and Herro show for the Heat, as they finished with a combined 55 points in the game to lead the Heat to a 120-94 victory.

Washington continues to get some solid offensive performance from Jordan Poole, as he dropped 35 points tonight in only 29 minutes. He also eclipses Bradley Beal’s franchise record of 223 three pointers by hitting 7 tonight giving him 228 career threes.

So, what can be can be made of the double-digit losses by the Wizards this season? Well, they now have 49 on them on the season, which along with the largest franchise loss to the Pacers are something the front office needs to address going into the last two weeks of the season.

Think about this one for a minute… Miami played without 4 players tonight and still was able to produce a double-digit victory as well as start the game on a 15-0 run that the Wizards never recovered from. The lack bench scoring or players available late in the game due to injury has been felt over the course of the last couple of weeks and most likely will continue during the final weeks of the season.

Washington has little time to shake it off as they face Sacramento on Wednesday night followed by a game against the Magic on Thursday and a trip to Boston to close out the week on Sunday.
