Washington, D.C–

Another day, another nailbiter for a Wizards ending. This time they were able to capture a victory over the Sacramento Kings, 116-112.

In some games this season, the Wizards have been on the wrong side of a final shot to take the game to overtime, tonight it was the last second three pointer by Zach Levine that fell short giving this young team some hope that they can pull out games in the late minutes.

LaVine scored 35 points for the Kings and DeMar DeRozan had 32, who like the Wizards are last place in their conference and concluded their season-long East Coast trip at 0-6.

DeRozan certainly looked to be unstoppable late in the fourth quarter, scoring eight points during a 12-3 fourth quarter run that gave the Kings a 101-98 lead with 5:20 left. Then it was the Wizards young core of players led by 19-year-old Will Riley, who hit with eight points in the next 3:13 to put the Wizards back on top.

Marvin Bagley III was back in the line-up tonight for the Wizards and played 19 minutes in his return from injury, scoring 15 points on a perfect seven-of-seven shooting night from the field. Skal Labissière also had a solid night, finishing with 13 points and seven boards off the bench.

Washington has a day off tomorrow and faces the Knicks on Tuesday night.
