Washington, D.C–

For most of this game tonight, it looked like the Wizards might actually get their 10th win of the season.. well, that was until the third and fourth quarters rolled around, and the results added up to another loss to the Orlando Magic, 119-109.

Orlando was fueled in the second half by Franz Wagner, who scored a game-high 28 points. His got some additional help as he has done all season long from Paolo Banchero with 25 points of his own.

The Wizards were led by Jordan Poole, who scored 26 off the bench. Kyle Kuzma added 25 pointed

The big question is why didn’t the Wizards try Poole off the bench earlier in the season? Clearly something has changed for the better at this point, which really is too late and still seems to add up to the same results as they can’t get off that Magic 9.

The Magic’s win gives them sole possession of fourth place in the Eastern Conference after their fifth straight victory. It’s the longest win streak for Orlando since they won nine in a row in November and early December.

Washington (9-53) tied a team record for longest losing streak, matching a skid from the 2009-10 season.

Can the Wizards stop this losing streak? 16 straight games… it’s too much when you have both Kuzma and Poole in the line-up. What is actually wrong night after night? Can we make it to 10 before the end of the season or have they actually given up in favor of a bunch of lottery balls?
