Indianapolis, IN–
As we prepare for another Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever match-up tonight in Indy, we have to look ahead to next weekend’s game in Phoenix, which will have all eyes on the WNBA vs. United States.
While some say that Caitlin Clark should have been included on this United States squad, perhaps several weeks off for Clark and others is just what they need to make a run.
The Olympian squad features all-time greats like Brittney Griner (Phoenix), Sabrina Ionescu (New York), Breanna Stewart (New York), Diana Taurasi (Phoenix) and A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas).
They’ll go toe to toe with Team WNBA standouts Caitlin Clark (Indiana), Angel Reese (Chicago), Jonquel Jones (New York), Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles) and Aliyah Boston (Indiana)
The biggest thing we are hearing fans talk about is having Clark and Reese on the same team. Both are vying for Rookie of the Year and could be a one-two knockout punch that we have yet to see from any team this season. Will Taurasi and friends showcase what they have to offer going to Paris this year or will Clark steal the show as she has been all season long.
Friday in Phoenix will feature the skills contest and perhaps some great people watching as well. Most of the players on the All-Star roster tend to show up and show out at the game and cheer on the participants in the three-point shoot-out.
Clark was the only player to crack 700,000 votes (by 735), while her Indiana Fever teammate Aaliyah Boston ranked second with 618,680.
