The Living Room Bar Miami W South Beach Hotel, You Will Wish Yours Was This Cool

Miami, FL—

We already knew how hip the W South Beach Hotel was prior to stepping into the living room portion of the hotel, but after a few minutes of settling in, you will definitely want this to be your own living room.

When you walk through their big spacious opening it is the furniture and décor that immediately catches your eyes. With low to the ground sofa loungers and cool lounge tables to match and the coolest throw rugs under the table, no wonder why this is the place that everyone gathers before heading out to the late-night scene South Beach has to offer.

They’ve just introduced a brand new menu with “Barmen Features” (signature libations) and something called “The Barrel” (“group cocktail featuring a full liter (equivalent to bottle service at nightclubs) of the spirit of your choice, combined with an array of specialty ingredients, housemade essential oils, edible flowers ” and prepared tableside)

While many of the lounges that are more cocktail oriented, we found that their menu was pretty amazing as well. All of their hand crafted cocktails were designed by Scott Beattie, Author of “Artesinal Cocktails.”

One item from the menu you will not want to miss are their Oysters of the Day and their Tuna Tartare.

If you are really looking to kick of the night right, check out their Italian White Sturgeon Caviar for jus thr right price of $100. These are perfect size, not too small and enough to enjoy with one cocktaul. Once you have one drink here, be forewarned, they are highly addicting with their mixogists at the helm.

So some of the Barmen Features that are not to be missed under any circumstances are the Broken Dawn which is a mix of Mezcal, Agave Spirit, Blood Orange Liquor. Yuzu, Grapefruit, Smoked Paprika. This is a very easy going back drink and a couple of these will definitely have you relaxing to the fullest.

The next not to be missed drink is the Killin Thyme, which a amazing blend of Hendricks Gin. Cucumber, Jalapeno, Lemon and Thyme. This has to be one of the best drinks we have sampled in a long time. This drink is very light and refreshing and great for a hot summer afternoon.

What was another cool feature of the Living Room Bar was their use of the Edible Flowers in the drinks. Many of their flowers and herbs come from the Farm at Verde Gardens, which is a non-profit organization that helps to employ Florida’s homeless with their work on their 22 acre farm in Homestead. They are very particular about the herbs being replenished every few days to insure that all guest have the best drink anywhere in South Beach.

Another feature that is not commonly found in South Florida are their Barrel drink options. This is where they have three special crafted drinks available for a table of up to 4 people for $250. Try and find a value like that anywhere in South Beach with hand crafted cocktails. This is easily the steal of your night, believe us, highly worth it.

The Living Room Bar is located on the lobby level of the W Hotel South Beach. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, but definitely stake your spot early as this is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights.
