Indianapolis, IN–

As we kick off the 25th season of Pointed Magazine covering the Washington Wizards, we must say this is the first time in a few years we can get excited about a full healthily team.

Everyone knows that a full throttle Bradley Beal gives the Wizard a season long threat to score at any time. Which Beal will show up on Wednesday? Lets hope its the 30 plus point Beal of old.

Beal has single handedly lit up the Pacers in the past. When you add  Kirstaps Porzingis, Kyle Kuzma and Daniel Gafford off the bench.. that’s about as solid as any team will get in the Eastern Conference. Look for the Wizards to challenge the young front court of the Pacers early and often.

Rookie Johnny Davis has struggled offensively which seems strange for any Indy locals that saw him around town last year, but for now Wes Unseld Jr. has him penciled in off the bench.

Washington went 35-47 overall and 24-28 in Eastern Conference action during the 2021-22 season. The Wizards averaged 25.0 assists per game on 40.6 made field goals last season.

Washington will have to start the season without Corey Kispert, but otherwise put their healthiest team on the court in over 4 years.
