Nike Has the Wow Factor at Its Best for Spring/Summer 2008
Okay, we must admit after 10 years of reviewing the Nike Golf Apparel, the new lines season after season just continue to impress. When you open their new catalog for Spring/ Summer 2008 you will see why their golf apparel is one of the strongest sellers in the retail market.Starting off in the men’s apparel category the new colors for the men’s polos with the Body Mapping Polos which with their two tone looks a vibrant colors like Sunburst and White together combined with performance like the strategically placed ventilation zones which increases the breathability and we found it holds true to form with performance. We took each of the shirts and tested them during the Super Bowl Weekend at Rhodes Ranch Golf Course south of Phoenix and the kept us properly insulated and warm too. The short sleeve shirts are good for either early spring or late summer play.
The Olive Khaki shorts are great in the East come April, and Florida, Nevada and California, they are ready to rock right now. These shorts and all of the Nike Fit shirts will be a great fashion mix. These shorts are ones you can kick it at a Spring MLB game or just roll around the house on a Sunday with a cool look. These carry an excellent price point of $60.On the women’s side, the designs just continue to get better season after season. With Grace Park and Michelle Wie working with the Nike design team on the women’s side, there is no doubt that their desire for nice things is one of the reasons why no comes close to this much fashion on the course.
Nike Golf’s Hounds Tooth Print Shorts are chic and sexy for sure. The feel of the shorts is as soft as a baby’s bottom, or pretty close to it as we don’t make it a habit of touching babies’ bottoms. With a 10 1/2″ inseam on base size 8, 20 1/4 out seam and made with 88% Polyester and 12% Spandex with Dri-Fit sublimated stretch taffeta they are a great feel and will hold up to long term washing. They are also not too short or too long with a UV protection to 30 UPF.
When it comes to shoes to give you the most on the course we recommend combining the Nike Men’s Air Zoom Elite, which combines the pebox cage in the rear of the shoe for the optimal performance. The shoe is a premium full-grain leather golf shoe has a full-length Poron sockliner and a rubber Power Platform outsole. The shoe’s heel fit system molds and forms directly to the foot for an exceptional, no-slip fit.
Don’t worry the women never get left out of the quality and hot looks in the shoe department. Nike Golf has some of the best shoes to match the apparel for this Spring and Summer. The Air Summer Lite is one of the coolest shoes, both on the feet and looks wise that is an identical match to the apparel for the Spring and Summer. A great buy to complete on fresh looking outfit for $95.
While the women’s shoes are some of the stylish in a long time and the performance is second to none in the market, the men’s Air Zoom Elite is one of the best performance shoes they have offered. Offered in four different color combinations, the shoe offers the flex foot channel which really offers a chance for your foot to flex like it is supposed to. You can feel your feel sinking in the grass the way it was meant to be. Complete with a two year waterproof warranty, these shoes are the bomb! We recommend the metallic silver and white combination. It is a striking look to any black and white combination.
What we have found through our testing this Spring is that Nike continues to offer some of the best color combinations between the tops and bottoms. Their outerwear just continues to sizzle season after season, with Spring 2008 possibly being the best so far. Be on the lookout in the month of April as Nike Golf has some hot looks for Tiger Woods to sport during the Masters Weekend. The Masters apparel has been a huge selling point for Nike and we expect it to be just the same thus year.
